TEES Office of Strategic Research Development is committed to collaborating with TEES faculty to produce the best, most competitive proposal submissions to a variety of funding agencies. Support varies from email or phone consultation, face-to-face meetings, to a role as a surrogate co-PI where we fully participate in development of the proposal ranging from strategic planning, facilitating partnerships for education or research links, strengthening broader impacts, critical edits and reviews, to one-on-one workdays to springboard a researcher's proposal.
SRD partners with faculty on major projects that support the Texas A&M Engineering Programs' research focuses as defined by the Dean. In addition to developing faculty grantsmanship skills, SRD provides a coordination point for all phases of multi-partner, center-level proposals, including initial planning, partnership alignment, broader impacts, diversity issues, budgetary assistance and collaboration with Research Services, on through proposal development. To get started, contact the SRD office main line (979-847-8585) or any SRD staff member as early as possible in order to secure our collaboration. Support is based on time constraints in relationship to proposal due dates.
So you are off-campus at a TEES partner institution. SRD can offer strategic advice and answer specific questions regarding your proposal over the phone or by email. SRD also consults with faculty one-on-one at our office. Simply contact an SRD staff member to schedule your time. SRD also offers a number of workshops geared toward specific proposal efforts for both new and established faculty. Check the Web site http://teesresearch.tamu.edu/ for a schedule for upcoming events.
TEES Research Services (TRS) is the unit within the Texas Engineering Experiment Station by providing pre-award services to divisional researchers:
TRS also promotes faculty development opportunities, such as workshops and information sessions. An intranet and internet site including a limited database of funding opportunities are maintained. See the inside front cover for contact information or visit them online at http://trsweb.tamu.edu/.
